Bartender in Paris secretly charges fifteen percent ‘tip’

In another catering establishment, the so -called American tourist was asked to pay ten percent extra ‘because service is not included’, while it was included with the French tourist. When the ‘American’ agreed with that ten percent, he discovered that the bartender secretly calculated fifteen percent.

“This is a shame for our profession,” says the owner of a hotel and restaurant group to the Parisian newspaper. “In France, baguette and water should always be free. You must always be able to pay for it. The tip is intended as a thank you for the service. And above all, tip is not mandatory!”
