Iltalehti asked Benji Michel to HJK’s US dock about ten questions about Finland.
According to HJK’s Benji Michel, Finnish fast food does not feel as bad as fast food in the United States. Matti Raivio, AOP
1. What did you know about Finland before your transfer?
– I knew Niko Hämäläinenwho is my friend. I knew he was playing at HJK. I knew Finland was a safe country, but not much else. Before the transfer, I found out in Finland and one thing that came up everywhere was a sauna.
2. What do you think that Finns go naked in the sauna?
– It’s crazy. During the first week I went to visit the public sauna. There was no one at that moment. At that time, I didn’t know that the sauna should be naked or before that should take a shower.
– I was sitting in the sauna with boxers on my feet and seeing how the man coming from the shower comes towards the sauna completely naked. Three minutes later, the other came after. I thought what the hell was going on and what I went to do, Michel laughs.
3. What do you think about Finnish traffic?
– In the United States, you have to sit in traffic jam for hours. There is no such thing here. I like it here that you can easily walk to places. Moving in Finland is more practical and it is much easier to move from one place to another.
4. What is the best place in Helsinki?
– The amusement park I don’t remember (Linnanmäki). I went there and went to three devices. From there got ice cream, which was really good, Michel glows.
5. Who is the most famous person in Finland?
– Teemu Pukki. Wherever we go, everywhere: Santa, Santa, Santa. It never ends Michel laughs.

6. How well have you learned Finnish?
– It’s hard, but I’ve already learned something. I can say good night, good morning and count to ten.
– One word I hear at least 30 times during every workout. Everyone is all the time fuck fuck fuck, Michel laughs.
7. What do you like about Finnish food?
– I’ve tasted some Finnish foods, but it’s really different to what I’m used to. You eat a lot of pastries, but I’m not hard at eating them. I tried a Karelian pie with egg on. I liked it.
8. Which fast food is better: the United States or Finland?
– In the US, but Finnish fast food tastes good and is healthy, even though it’s fast food. It feels really crazy to me. In the United States, fast food tastes good, but after that it is terrible. Here after the fast food, the stomach does not feel bad or it seems that the weight will increase.
9. When you go to the store in Finland, what do you buy?
– I like Finnish grocery stores. I especially like when you can squeeze fresh orange juice in stores.
– During the first week I was quite lost with the baking point products. I saw people put on numbers, but I didn’t know what I had to do, Michel says.
10. What has been the most challenging in Finland?
– I’m from Florida, so the weather was a real shock.
HJK’s miracle

HJK was in the match after 22 minutes already with a goal loss and Jere Kallinen Had grabbed himself.
– We didn’t know what happened. After the first half, we were in a single player underneath and in a defeat. We didn’t seem to have any solutions to the situation, HJK Benji Michel tells you.
– After watching the game afterwards … I think we should just have defended after the red card and try to keep one goal loss station for the next match. We made it unnecessarily difficult for ourselves.
The players took the loss very hard. Michel says that the match was the only thing that was in his mind for the next week.
– We were really disappointed with ourselves. It was not HJK where we want our fans to see us.
After the first match, HJK succeeded in an unimaginable trick in the home match. HJK won the Faroe Island club at home 5-0 and advanced. The match’s solution was only seen in overtime.
The 27-year-old quay calls HJK’s rise miraculous.

The second half went with HJK with one goal lead. In the other half, HJK scored three goals.
The smoothing of the match pair was created with extra time, followed by Santeri Hostikka made a decisive 5-0 hit in overtime.
– It was a crazy game. Everything turned to our side in the match.
HJK’s next qualifying match will be played on Thursday as the team will travel to Arda Kardzhal to Bulgaria.
Michel has been in a strong mood lately and is not about to slow down.
– I am better adapting better, I start to find my rhythm and confidence. The direction is now just up to the point where I and the team get off, Michel says.
The US last hit AC Oulu with a handsome finish. After the goal, a voltage ventilation of Michel’s trademark was seen.
Michel says that as a child, his brother and his brother wanted to try the same tricks they had seen that the gymnasts had done in Youtube videos.
– It rained outside by pouring, but we wanted to try to see if we could succeed in the same tricks. After a couple of attempts, I noticed that I could make a volt, after which I made volts everywhere. I even fan my teammates’ goals, Michel laughs.
