The dress rehearsal for the second division is: Eintracht Braunschweig will find an opponent at the opening of the season at short notice. It will be a team from the north.

After the Dutch first division club Twente Enschede jumped off as a test game opponent at the opening of the season, Eintracht Braunschweig successfully replanted. As the BTSV announced on Wednesday, the team of coach Heiner Backhaus will compete against third division club Hansa Rostock on Saturday (kick -off 2 p.m.).

The duel with the Dutch intended at the beginning could not have taken place despite ongoing plans. The BTSV did not provide any information. However, the Dutch daily “ad” suspected that Twente could have been dissatisfied with the non -admission of guest fans. Originally, two games were even planned for Twente. Instead, the Dutch will compete against the Top Club FC Porto Portuguese on Sunday.

For Eintracht, however, it was important to find a decent replacement for a last gallop before the league start. Tickets that have already been acquired for the Twente game remain valid for the show of strength with Rostock. The ticket sales stopped in between is now starting again.

The game is embedded in the official opening of the season of the BTSV including a fan and family festival on the stadium forecourt. The gates of the Eintracht stadium are open from 12 noon. Among other things, a bouncy castle, a soccer slice and a children’s rally is available. Mascot Leo also celebrates his birthday.

From 3 p.m., the active scene for the fourth south curve summer festival will invite you to the south curve. Interested parties can use the Rheingoldstrasse entrance. Visitors to the test game can switch to the festival immediately after the game final.

It gets really serious for Eintracht in the following week. Then the first match day of the new second division season is on the program with the away game at 1. FC Magdeburg (August 3, 1.30 p.m.).
