Tony Iommi: “There will never be someone like him again”
Guitarist Tony Iommi shared several pictures on Instagram, including an old photo of Osbourne at a young age and one on which the two hug. In the caption, he writes: “I just can’t believe it! My dear, dear friend Ozzy just died in Villa Park a few weeks after our concert.”
The news made him speechless, continued in his post: “This is such a heartbreaking news that I lack the words. There will never be someone like him again.” Iommi emphasizes: “Geezer, Bill and I lost our brother.” His thoughts are with Sharon Osbourne and the whole family. He concludes: “Quiet in peace, oz. Tony.”
Geezer Butler: “Four children from Aston – who would have thought?”
Bassist Geezer Butler also reminds of the band’s common beginnings on his Instagram channel: “Goodbye, dear friend-thanks for all the years-we had a lot of fun together,” he writes. In his emotional contribution he looks back on the early time: “Four children from Aston – who would have thought, wasn’t it?”
He was grateful that at the last concert in Aston they were able to stand together again: “I am so glad that we could do it in Aston one last time.”

Drummer Bill Ward also speaks: “Where can I find you now? In the memories, our unspoken hugs, our missed calls … No, you are in my heart forever.”
