Kalle Rovanperä has won the World Rally World Championship in 2022 and 2023. Jani Korpela

Kalle Rovanperä is a double world champion. He exudes peaceful confidence.

Unlike in 2021, Jari-Matti Latvala and Riikka Smolander-Slotte describe in a freshly fresh book One rally (Big Dipper).

Rovanperä started his second WRC season by finishing fourth and second, but in the third World Rally of the season, Croatia was already interrupted at the opening kilometers.

The fourth and fifth race also ended with interruption. The sixth race of the season, Safari Rally, brought sixth place.

-After the Safari Rally, Rovanperä was exceptionally quiet and auxiliary, writes Smolander-Slotte.

– Throughout, he opened his mouth in the car on his way out of the race site.

According to the book, Rovanperä said he was afraid of falling as a four -driver, in Safari that his first podium has gasified Takamoto watch behind.

-Rovanperä was worried and anxious about his setbacks, Smolander-Slotte sums up.

– Four consecutive failed races were too much for a relaxed and confident driver.

The team manager Latvala shed light on faith and stressed that there was no need to worry.

“Inside me milled”

Rovanperä immediately found a new level. The next three rally brought two wins and a third place.

Rovanperä became the youngest World Championship winner of all time. He took the record from Latvala.

– I praised and congratulated the young winner, even though I was upside down. At the same time, I was terribly happy that the record stayed in the Finn, but at the same time I was a bit that I lost the record, Latvala describes One rally in the book.

– Afterwards, Kalle told me that he was particularly good at that I had commented that I was moving the record that would just be transferred to him. It made it easier and I understood the new position I was. I was able to turn the distress into positivity and joy.

Jari-Matti Latvala (Otava), written by Riikka Smolander-Slotte, will be released on July 23.
