Code Geel in the entire country for thunderstorms
The weather -warning code yellow that the KNMI has issued for thunderstorms applies to the entire country on Monday. According to the KNMI, the thunderstorm can be accompanied locally with hail, gusts of wind and lots of rain in a short time.
The warning already applies to Flevoland, Gelderland, the IJsselmeer area, Limburg, Noord-Brabant, Noord-Holland, Overijssel, Utrecht, Zeeland and Zuid-Holland, until 9 p.m. From 4 p.m., code Geel also applies to Drenthe, Friesland, Groningen and the Wadden area. The warning is in force there until 10 p.m.
According to the KNMI, the showers are slowly gone out on Monday evening, first in the southwest and the last in the east. Regionally, the differences can be great. “The impact will be low in many places,” said the weather institute.
