The future of Florian Neuhaus near Gladbach has been in the stars since an incident in Mallorca. Now the professional can give himself a new hope of staying.
Borussia Mönchengladbach’s sports manager Roland Virkus has commented on the situation around Florian Neuhaus – and at least not excluded a return of the suspended midfielder in the professional squad.
“Flo is a player who has a high potential. And we measure it on it, like everyone else. We see it purely sporty. And if he gives the potential, what he can do, then Flo Neuhaus is a very, very good player,” said Virkus at Sky.
Gladbach had moved the 28-year-old into the U23 for four weeks at the beginning of July and took a six-digit fine. The background was a video recorded in Mallorca, which circulated on social networks. In the approximately ten second clip, a derogatory remark about Virkus was heard before Neuhaus himself came into the picture and called his alleged content of “four million” euros.
According to Virkus, the Bundesliga team will check the situation again after the transfer: “Flo did not behave well and we regulated it for that. And after four weeks we will re -rate the situation again.” The ten -time national player’s contract runs until June 30, 2027.
