Daniel Peretz (25) has been working on his breakthrough at FC Bayern for two years – so far without greater yield. Now the career of the goalkeeper in Hamburg is to be boosted. The national player Israel is awarded for the first time by the Munich team. For the HSV it is the fourth loan change for the record champion. Overall, the red pants from no other club got professionals.

Peretz has recently been concrete in media reports with a change to other clubs. In June it was said that the keeper was standing before switching to PSV Eindhoven. A month later, the path should lead to the Genoa CFC. Already then the HSV always came up as a possible buyer. The North Germans recently handed over Matho Raab (26) to Union Berlin for almost half a million euros. Daniel Heuer Fernandes (32), on the other hand, goes into his seventh season with the red pants and is Peretz ‘competitor in the fight for number 1 in the Altona Volkspark.

Peretz ‘unfulfilled dream of number 1 at FC Bayern

Peretz switched from Maccabi Tel Aviv as possible successor to Manuel Neuer (39) to Munich in the summer of 2023. For the then injured new one, who was also missing for a long time in the 2024/25 season, but first veteran Sven Ulreich (36) stood in the goal, later new signing Jonas Urbig (21). Ulreich should remain for another season after his end of the contract, and Peretz shouldn’t leave more space than before. The market value of the replacement man remained unchanged at 3 million euros throughout the season-2 million less than the career high, which Peretz posted to Munich shortly after moving. Since then, the former hope has hardly passed the record champion.

For January 2025, Peretz had knocked out several options for one loan. “My big dream is to become the number 1 of FC Bayern” and “I want to do every training session my best, then the future will show whether I will get more playing time in Munich,” he said on different occasions in November and December. Until then, he had been able to guard the Bayern goal in five competitive games of the season. After that, no effort was granted to him.

To change from FC Bayern to the HSV profs-whether against a transfer, by loan or after the end of the contract-ten players have so far decided in history. With Peretz as an eleventh, there is now no club from which the HSV won the most players. VfB Stuttgart-among other things with Filip Kostić or Orel Mangala-has been at the top of the Hamburg balance sheet since the Bundesliga was founded. Peretz will also borrow the fourth professional that the Hanseatic League from Munich borrowed. The first Bayern loan at HSV was the then 19-year-old Markus Babbel in 1992/93.
