Drummer Dennis Hendriks will not perform this weekend with the band Mooi Wark. According to a statement from the drummer on Facebook, the reason is a difference of opinion between Hendriks and the band.

This weekend beautiful Wark will perform on the Zwarte Cross and at Ce’st La Vie in Emmen. “Because I recently had a rather strong but well-founded, opinion about certain things within the band Mooi Wark, they decided to cancel, at least this weekend, so that I am not present at the performances this weekend,” writes Hendriks on his own Facebook page.

“I regret this decision,” said Hendriks. According to the drummer, it was not his own choice not to perform this weekend. Hendriks is temporarily replaced by drummer Geert Kruit.

“Dennis has opted for a solo career. That is why Mooi Wark has chosen this road,” says Hans de Jonge on behalf of Mooi Wark. Whether Hendriks will be present again at performances by Mooi Wark after this weekend is not clear. “We can’t say more about it at the moment,” said De Jonge.
