Giulia Gwinn has been a fixture for FC Bayern and the German national team for years. She also found her luck privately.

Giulia Gwinn has been the face of the German national team since Alexandra Popp’s resignation. The 25-year-old from FC Bayern is one of the absolute top performers in the team, is also considered strong-which is why national coach Christian Wück officially entrusted her in February 2025 to the DFB women’s captaincy.

Gwinn has been running for Germany’s A selection since 2017 and won the bronze medal with the team in the summer of 2024 at the Olympic Games. At the time of her DFB debut, the full-back was still under contract with SC Freiburg. The move to Munich followed in 2019.

With Bayern, Gwinn was able to collect four championship titles in her career. Recently, she and her teammates made the double of the championship and trophy perfect. Also, she did not let two serious injuries throw back: Gwinn suffered cruciate ligament tears in 2021 and 2022 and impressively fought back both times.

Since the star player is enthusiastic and more and more appeared in the media in terms of sport, her private life inevitably comes into focus. Gwinn has been in a relationship for several years-with an ex-athlete.

His name: Constantin Frommann. Gwinn has long been a secret for the relationship with him. “We met in Freiburg,” she said in 2022 the “Bild am Sonntag”. “And I can still remember when he told me that he was going to Meppen. I didn’t even know where it was. I was really scared that it was almost Holland.”

That was 2020. The reason for the decision of the then football professional Frommann to move to the city in Emsland: his contract was terminated at SC Freiburg in October of that year.

Between 2010 and 2017, the 26-year-old had passed the youth departments of the sports club as a goalkeeper, then played 38 league games for the second representation of the Breisgauer by 2020. In the 2018/2019 season, he even belonged to the Bundesliga squad. After a loan to Großaspach in the follow -up season, the chapter Freiburg then ended for Frommann. He joined Meppen until 2022 and then surprisingly ended his career in 2023 – due to irreparable hip damage, as he announced on Instagram at the time.

Frommann actually had a promising career in front of him. He ran as a young player for the German national team. In 2013 he for the first time turned the DFB jersey for the U16 juniors. Frommann also played games for the U17, U18 and U20 national team. In 2015 he even received the Fritz Walter medal bronze in the U17 category as the third best young player in Germany.

Frommann has also been preserved for sport after his football career, but in a different function. As the founder of “Future Goal” “, he prepares sports professionals for the time after the active career as coaches and mentors”, as it says on the company’s website.

The liaison with gwinn, with which he in the meantime led a long -distance relationship, is apparently still up to date. An Instagram contribution by the Bayern player from the end of February shows the couple together with teammate Klara Bühl and her friend Simeon Stieffather at the 125th anniversary of the German record champions. A contribution by stepfather from mid -March also includes a photo on which Gwinn and Frommann can be seen side by side.

A post from Bühl on the annual financial statements of 2024 also shows a photo on which the two DFB soccer players with their partners and teammates Sydney Lohmann can be seen at the Olympic Games in Paris. Fromman’s hand is on Gwinn’s shoulder. There are also pictures of Olympics where Gwinn and Frommann hug, kiss and hold their hands on the stands.
