A figure of identification occurs: Ermin Bičakčić leaves Eintracht Braunschweig. His teammates address warm farewell words to the veteran.
No more, over, over: Ermin Bičakčić and Eintracht Braunschweig go separate paths a second time. The club officially announced this decision on Thursday. The routine’s contract, which had already played for the BTSV between 2012 and 2014, had already expired at the end of June.
For many of his teammates, the central defender will apparently be remembered. At least the warm farewell words of some BTSV professionals suggest. “An incredible captain and a much better person,” wrote goalkeeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann on Instagram and added: “Thank you for everything, my friend, it was an honor for me to play with you.”
There was also a message from outside player Fabio Kaufmann in the Instagram story. “Role model, captain, lion”, Kaufmann writes on the social media platform. It was an honor for him to fight alongside the defender. “Unfortunately there is always an coming and walking in this shop. But moments like this remain forever,” says Kaufmann about a picture that shows him and Bičakčić in jubilation pose. Kaufmann posted an entertaining video from the cabin.
Offensive player Johan Gómez wrote in English: “I have learned so much from you on the bus trips in the past two years. Thank you for everything”. The club itself added: “Thank you, iron-appointment!”
Bičakčić comes up for the Eintracht for 139 competitive games in the Bundesliga, 2nd Bundesliga and DFB Cup. In the 2012/13 season, he had made the promotion to the Bundesliga with Braunschweig. Most recently, the Bosnian international was also captain of the BTSV.
Sports Managing Director Benjamin Kessel had already been grateful at the official announcement of the Bičakčić party “from the bottom of my heart”. “Ermin is a player who has always fully identified with this club – on and off the square,” said Kessel. “He will be part of the Eintracht family forever.”
Bičakčić itself had also been important to address personal words to the club and fans. For me, Eintracht Braunschweig is more than just an association – it is a matter close to the heart. I am proud to have worn the lion’s jersey twice and to have been part of this special club, “said the 35-year-old.” I would like to thank my teammates and everyone in the club, of which I was always very respectful. A very special thanks go to the fans, of course. Thank you for your energy, your support and recognition. Once lion, always lion. “
