Maxime Meiland gets strong criticism after leaving her disaster villa. She and her family moved to a temporary Tiny House. “I think it’s a bit spoiled,” is the comment.
It has been on Funda for years, but potential buyers just drop out: the old but very expensive villa that has bought Maxime Meiland in a reckless mood is like a block on her leg. Although the sales process has now started again – she has gone down again 55 thousand euros – she was fed up with it, she is gone from that villa.
Little spoiled
Maxime actually thought he would no longer have a villa this summer, so she has one Tiny House Purchased where her family can live into the new home in which she is going to live with her parents. Although her villa in Noordwijk has not yet been sold, she has already been stuck in that little house.
Story boss Guido den picker says about this Shownieuws: “I think it’s a bit spoiled. I think that if you have such a beautiful house and have taken that risk, then you have to be very happy that you can still live there at all, I would say?”
Strange story
Guido calls it a ‘weird story’, but Maxime is happy with her choice. “It is clear. You actually need very little in life, so we just have a few stacks of clothing. We don’t have a dishwasher for example. I also like that, because then you are also doing something. The girls think it’s great.”
She continues: “In the beginning they had to get used to it, because they sleep above our bedroom. The first night we sometimes had that they bumped their heads and I heard again whine again. I thought: oh, we are going again, but they are already a run. It is also a realization of: you don’t really need that much.”
Funda-proof
Why doesn’t Maxime just sit in the villa until it is finished? She has to pay anyway. “I said: let’s just clean that house and leave it empty, also for any viewings. Then you don’t have to make everything Funda-proof all the time, because we will have some viewings in the coming days.”
“I hope that something will come out and that it will continue this time. It does give quite a bit of stress, so I am happy if someone else will soon enjoy that house.”
