Brussels (dpa -AFX) – Money for agriculture, structural promotion, defense: The European Commission will present a proposal for the next long -term community budget of the state community from 2028 on Wednesday (5 p.m.). The upper limits of the annual expenditure of the EU and its use are determined in the probably trillion household.
The EU Commission had already announced that they are currently simplifying and wanting to make the multi-year budget complicated with numerous different programs.
Probably changes for agriculture
As can be seen from a draft for the budget proposal for 2028 to 2034, according to the will of the Commission, among other things, there should be changes in agriculture and structural funding. According to this, instead of separate pots, there will only be a large fund from which the money should come. Funds for security and defense are also to be bundled in the fund.
How much money the household should include is not evident from the design. The so -called multi -year financial framework (MFR) currently comprises around 1.1 trillion euros for the years 2021 to 2027. EU countries and the European Parliament must advise on the now expected commission proposal.
