On the Bodegravenpad in Tilburg a cyclist was hit by a cross bike on Monday evening. That happened when the motorcyclist was chased by the police. The cyclist is seriously injured and not brought to a hospital. The driver of the cross bike was arrested elsewhere in the Reeshof district of Tilburg.
The police could not yet say whether the victim is a woman or a man.
The accident happened just after nine o’clock. The police would have chased the cross bike because it drove without license plates.
Several police cars were deployed during the chase.
His gloves and helmet were found near the place where the driver of the cross bike was arrested.
The circumstances of the accident are investigated by an (independent) police team from another region, because the Tilburg police were involved in this collision.
