The deadline indicated by the Superintendency is confirmed because the stadium becomes cultural interest. The opinion will weigh on the decision of the TAR which meets on Tuesday. Step forward for Milan and Inter
Important turning point in the infinite lawsuit on the new San Siro stadium. In fact, the Ministry of Culture confirmed the date on 10 November 1955 as a date of the start of the bond, which was then the one indicated by the Superintendency, according to what Repubblica reports. In fact, that was the day when the second ring of the stadium was tested and only with that test can the work be said to be concluded. The terms for the evaluation of cultural interest, lasting 70 years, therefore start from that moment. On Tuesday there will be the hearing at the TAR which will be expressed in this regard but the indications arrived from the Ministry seem to already direct the evaluation in the positive sense for Milan and Inter.

To oppose that date were the Committees of the Committees against the sale, in particular “yes Meazza”. In the appeal they filed, the precautionary suspension of the preliminary sales documents is requested, claiming that the date identified by the Superintendency is “incorrect, arbitrary and unjustified”. For the Committee, the cultural bond already exists, and the sale would represent an operation carried out with the aim of circumventing institutional checks. To support this thesis, images and newspaper clippings dating back to June 1955 were presented in which you can see the stadium already attended. According to the ministry, those testimonies confirm that the second ring had not yet been completed and how the structural interventions were not yet finished.

So all resolved? No, calm, despite the mayor Beppe Sala is trying to accelerate, having convened for Monday the group leaders of the majority to then bring the dossier on the sale to the city council, in order to politically arm the agreement with the clubs. But battle is still expected with the controversies on the bond that will surely weigh on the process of the sale.
