Wahid Faghir finally leaves VfB Stuttgart after four years. The 21 -year -old striker has signed a contract with his youth club Vejle Boldklub, which was valid until 2028, as announced. A transfer is reportedly not due, in 2021 the Swabians had paid 3.5 million euros for the former Danish youth national player.
Faghir could not prevail in the first VfB team, ultimately there are only seven games and a goal. The seasons 2022/23 and 2023/24 spent loan at FC Nordsjaelland in his home country and at SV 07 Elversberg in the 2nd division. Last season he helped Stuttgart II with eight goals in 22 games to stay in the 3rd division.
“Wahid made an important contribution to the relegation of our U21 in the 3rd league last season. We thank Wahid for his time in the VfB jersey and wish him all the best and good luck for the future,” said Stuttgart sports director Christian Gentner on Saturday.
