Midfield talent Mathis Amougou is the sixth player who moves from FC Chelsea to RC Strasbourg Alsace since the Blueco Group around Todd Boehly also bought the French first division club. The Alsatians announced the commitment of the 19-year-old French U-national player on Saturday. Amougou has signed a five -year contract from which the blues can say that it can be brought back to London by buyback option.

Chelsea had only signed Amougou from AS Saint-Étienne for 15 million euros in February. Since then, the Youngster, which can be used as a six and eighth, has only been on two missions on the field for 22 minutes. There is no reliable information about the transfer that Strasbourg is now paying to the partner club.

Amougo comes from the asse youth and played 19 times for the former record champion before Chelsea struck. With France, he had reached the final of the U19 European Championship in 2024, but was lost 0-2 against Spain. The new Strasbourg professional was substituted in the final phase.

Before Amougo, ângelo (20), Andrey Santos (21), Djordje Petrovic (25), Caleb Wiley (20) and Diego Moreira (20) were changed from Chelsea to Strasbourg – with the exception of the latter. Moreira and Santos in particular developed strongly there. In return, the club World Cup finalist recently had central defender Mamadou Sarr (19) for 14 million euros to Stamford Bridge.
