The Oberalp Group appoints new management for Germany and Austria after Benedikt Böhm, the previous head of the markets, has left the mountain sports specialist.
Böhm’s responsibility for Austria is transferred to Andreas Ehinger in addition to his role as a commercial director of Austria and Germany, the Oberalp Group said on Friday. He thus becomes the sole managing director of Oberalp Austria GmbH.
Sebastian Schaller is responsible for the German market – in addition to his functions as a sales manager for Germany and Austria and as head of the Business Unit Online Key Accounts. He shares the management of Oberalp Deutschland GmbH on an equal footing with Manfred Steiner, Group-CFO of Oberalp AG.
Oberalp veterans take over management for Germany and Austria
The two new managing directors have both been active for the parent company Salewa, Dynafit, Pomoca, Wild Country, Evolv and Lamunt for more than 15 years. In their new role, they represent the Oberalp country societies to the outside world and also act as a contact person for all interests. This includes the internal organization of the branches in Kiefersfelden – Dynafit Speed Factory – and Bergheim – Brandboxx Salzburg.
Germany and Austria are among the most important sales markets of the Oberalp Group. In Germany, the company runs 12 and seven of its own stores in Austria.
