The works started just under two years ago and had to improve the flow between Deerlijk, Vichte and the industrial area of Waregem. A bypass and extra exit strips have been installed for this. The bicycle and footpaths have also been redesigned to make the weak road users pass more safely at the intersection. Finally, the road surface has also been restored, and the mixed sewer system has also been replaced.
