A fire broke out on Thursday evening in a house on the Grote Beererlaan in Eindhoven. The flames struck at the back of the house from the attic. According to the Brabant Zuidoost security region, the houses of the neighbors were also at risk due to the fierce fire.

The fire was discovered a little after nine o’clock. The first extinguishing vehicle immediately scaled up to ‘big fire’ on arrival. The fire in the middle of the residential area ensured that there was a lot of floors of people who came to look at the fire.

In total, three fire -fighting vehicles and also a rescue vehicle from the fire brigade were deployed. They quickly had the fire under control, within half an hour the fire was extinguished.

Fully destroyed
Nobody was injured. The residents of the house where the fire started were not at home. Their attic is completely burned out and on the other floors there is also smoke and water damage.

Because there was a risk that the fire would skip to the neighbors’ houses and a lot of smoke was released, the fire brigade placed fans at the neighbors. In this way, as little smoke as possible had to enter the adjacent houses.

That worked on one side. According to the fire brigade, the smoke damage at the other neighbors is minimal. The neighbors were at home during the fire and had to leave their homes temporarily, but they can sleep at home again on Thursday evening.
