The first set went straight without breaks and so a tiebreak had to make the decision. Salisbury and Stefani immediately placed the first mini-break, but after that the Dutch-Czech duo was the leading party. For example, Verbeek and Siniakova took the lead in the final after an hour.

Strengthened by that set win, they forced the first real break of the game at 1-1 in the second set. It marked the first Grandslam title for Verbeek, which only briefly plays together with the Dubbelelfenoma Siniaková. Siniakova already won ten grand slam titles in the women’s doubles and now finally grabbed her first title in the mixed variant.
