A fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon in the roof of an apartment complex on the Lijnbaan in Werkendam. The fire is difficult to extinguish and is not yet under control, the fire brigade reports.
The fire brigade is on site with two extinguishing vehicles and a ladder car. The flames are located between the wooden roof layers, making it difficult to reach the fire.
The fire brigade saws away parts of the roof to be able to get better with the fire. “It keeps smoking again and again,” said a fire brigade spokesperson. The fire is not yet under control.
As far as is known, no injuries were made.
