According to Mercedes-Benz, the new battery renovation is significantly shortened. In just ten minutes, energy can be recharged for up to 325 kilometers of range. Overall, the CLA 250+ reaches a maximum range of up to 792 kilometers. The batteries are manufactured on an approximately 350 meter long production line.
Old batteries should continue to be usable in second-life memory
In addition to the reuse of batteries as a spare part, Mercedes-Benz also has an eye on further use. With the subsidiary Mercedes-Benz Energy, based in the Saxon Großröhrsdorf, a successful business model with stationary large storage applications was established. Batteries that can no longer be used in the vehicle could be used in a second-life memory.
