A 50-year-old man from Assendelft was heavily abused in Hoogeveen last weekend. According to the police, things went wrong after the Stadsfestival in Hoogeveen in the night from Saturday to Sunday.
The victim was attacked on the Saaier near the church. That happened between 00.45 and 1.15 am. The man was wounded to a hospital.
A sister of the victim reports on Facebook that her brother was thrown on the floor and kicked his head. Among other things, his jaw would have been broken. The police are investigating the case. Among other things, camera images are viewed and neighborhood research has been done.
The police call on witnesses to report.
