According to the report, the disorder is still in the foreground. In addition, there are narcissistic elements and antisocial traits, the court quotes. M. says he agrees with the diagnosis and told about the conversations he has with his therapist: “It helps me to be aware of my behavior, being aware is a first step for behavioral change.”
Repetition
The report also describes that the risk of recurrence is high and there are indications of psychopathy. “Without a TBS measure, there is actually a direct hazard for repetition,” the judge said. “I am only in the beginning of the process, so it is only logical that it is estimated that way,” Robert M. responded.
M. does not oppose the extension of the TBS by two years today, says his lawyer. He will continue to work for the treatment process.
Transferred in 2023
In 2014, M. was irrevocably sentenced by the Supreme Court to a prison sentence of 19 years and TBS with compulsory treatment for the sexual abuse of young children. Robert M. abused 87 babies and toddlers, this happened between 2007 and 2010. This took place at daycare centers Het Hofnarretje and Jenno’s hug paradise.
He shared images online. In 2023-after two thirds of his sentence-M. was transferred to the TBS clinic. This year it came out that M. was in the clinic, but then it turned out that the parents of the victims there were never informed of.
Normally TBS can last a maximum of four years with compulsory nursing, unless the physical integrity of victims is affected. Because this is a sexual offense, the measure can be extended indefinitely. The judge must decide every two years in a hearing whether a TBS process will be extended by one or two years or not.
