Profile and assessment – the 2nd stage of the Tour de France 2025 at a glance
Assessment: The longest daily section of the tour is imminent on the second stage. The 212 kilometers that start in northern France -German coal areas and end on the banks of the English Channel should be anything but boring. Because the profile is quite demanding. At first it goes wavy, with constant little ones up and off, the vertical meters add up. And at the end of the day, two tricky stitches with up to 15 percent climb are to climb again. Before the destination is also placed at the end of an approximately one kilometer long climb. Only all-round sprinters should have a chance, rather the day is something for so-called “punching”. Classic drivers who can compete short and powerfully.
