As the penultimate Premier League association, Nottingham Forest presented the first newcomer. Igor Jesus comes from the Brazilian traditional club Botafogo Rio de Janeiro to the table seventh of the pre -season and receives a contract until 2029.
According to report, the center forward, who took part in the club World Cup with Botafogo and scored a goal against the Seattle Sounders (2: 1) and in the surprising success of Paris Saint-Germain (1-0), and is therefore the second most off-the club history.
Igor Jesus only experienced his breakthrough last year after he was active in the United Arab Emirates from 2020 to 2024 for the Shabab al-Nahli Club. With eight goals and five templates, he was an important building block at Botafogo on the way to the Brazilian championship and winning the Copa Libertadores. In October 2024 he also made his debut for Seleção.
“I didn’t have to think twice about the offer, I accepted it directly. I accepted the project that you showed me directly. I am happy to come here, and hope that I can do a good job. I will do my best to achieve great results and give the entire Forest family enjoy it,” said Igor Jesus.
