The Dutch national football team started with a sense of achievement in the European Championship of women in Switzerland. Against Wales, the “Leeuwinnen” in Lucerne celebrated a sovereign 3-0 win (1-0).

Captain Vivianne Miedema met the lead for the lead shortly before the break (45.+3 minute). For the former Bayern striker it was the 100th international goal.
