After 45 minutes of football in Heemskerk, Telstar led 3-0. Goals were scored by Sebastiaan Hagendoorn, Devon Koswal and Rayyan Koubini.
The start of the second half started a bit slowly for Telstar. Nevertheless, the IJmonders managed to score three more times towards the end of the game (2x Milan Zonneveld, Jeff Hardeveld). “At the start of the second half, the intensity was allowed up. They will pick it up well later. We are in the first week and those guests are physically good,” says Correia.
Correia announces the leader
Last season Mitch Apau was the captain of Telstar. The defender will play for the amateurs of SV Spakenburg next season, which is why Correia had to look for a new captain.
“If it’s up to me, it will be Danny Bakker. He was all our attack leader. That’s why I would like to see him with the band around the arm. I have not yet discussed it with the group, so perhaps I speak for my turn, but it could just be that it will come true.”
