The truck driver was confronted with a blowout while driving. Due to the severe friction with the road surface, the wheel quickly warmed up, after which the fire caught. The flames grabbed lightning fast and put the transport in light.
The man acted decisively and was able to disconnect his tractor from the burning trailer in time. Thanks to his quick response, the cabin was spared. Not much later, the silo exploded from bulk transport and the load ended up in the roadside. The driver transported around 25 tonnes of animal food.
The fire brigade of the Fluvia assistance zone quickly arrived and could prevent worse. Yet the trailer has been totally destroyed.
