The MotoGP world champion resumed training in motion and made it known on social media. Next week he will have to take medical exams to understand if he can compete in the Czech Republic
Jorge Martin is back on a motorcycle. The outgoing champion of the MotoGP carried out a test on the Montmelò track, near Barcelona, with an RSV4 aprilia. The twenty -seven year old Spanish through social profiles made it known. Martin posted two photos, one in the pits and the other in action, alongside a short very clear text: “Never fear, again in the saddle after three months”. In fact, excluding the parade at the “All Star” aprilia in June, Jorge did not go up to a bike with the unfortunate Qatar Grand Prix on April 13. On that occasion, the pilot fell, was almost hit by Fabio Di Giannantonio and remedied a serious injury: hemopneumotorace and multiple fractures to the ribs.
Recovery
–
The Martin test follows after a few days the outcome of the medical exams to take stock of his healing process. At the moment the Aprilia driver has not been authorized to return to the track with a MotoGP. The recovery after the injury to the hull and the Costali fractures is good, but not yet complete, thus inducing the doctors to postpone the return of at least two weeks. It is impossible to see it in action at Sachsenring: the Spaniard will skip the German Grand Prix, which will take place between 11 and 13 July. The training of the Montmelò Circuit, however, could be a good signal to Brno. The GP of the Czech Republic is scheduled from 18 to 20 July and Jorge could have the time necessary to return. But it will all depend on the next moves.
Decisions
–
In fact, it will be intense days for Martin. The Spaniard will have to undergo new medical tests at the beginning of next week. Only at that moment will it be exactly if Jorge will manage to guide a MotoGP before the summer stop, which will last from 20 July to 15 August. In addition, based on the outcome of the investigations, the world champion 2024 will understand when he can carry out a private test with the Aprilia RS-GP before returning to the World Cup. This test on the track has been made possible by the modification to the regulation, which grants a drowned pilot to resume confidence with the race bike gradually through a test session. Martin seems to be shrewd, but will still have to be patient for a few days.
