With the game between Arminia Bielefeld and Fortuna Düsseldorf, RTL will start the 2nd Bundesliga season on August 2 (Saturday evening, 8:30 p.m.). The traditional duel between 1. FC Kaiserslautern and FC Schalke 04 follows on the second matchday (9 August, 8:30 p.m.), as the broadcaster announced. RTL and the sister broadcaster Nitro will show the top games of the 2nd league on Saturday on Free TV in the coming season. The broadcasts start at 8:15 p.m. The first two game days in the German lower house were scheduled by the DFL on Thursday.
The broadcaster group has secured the corresponding rights that were still at Sport1 until the end of the past season. In addition, RTL continues to present games from the German national team and encounters from the Europa League and Conference League.
