Charon: “It’s very civil, but Daan and I have a shared agenda. Because of my full -time job as a stewardess at KLM, the time I am limited in the Netherlands is for example for sixteen days abroad. When I am in the Netherlands, I work in the hospital, I want to work out, I will see my friends in the day, so I will not be a family in the day, so I also do not have a family in the day, and then I am also a family one too, and then I am also a family. Just not each other. “

Daniël: “Of nature I am not a planner at all – I don’t even know what I’m going to do tomorrow night. But at some point I noticed that it is necessary with Chars work. Because if she is planning everything full and we only sleep together, then you may have spent a few hours together, but that is not really qualitative time.”

Charon: “Sometimes I think: it is very full and many. I know for four weeks with whom I eat every night; that sounds ridiculous of course. My character is perhaps that I am afraid of disappointing people in it. But you can always put that into perspective.”

Daniël: “Then I say: it is now done with that agenda stuffing. If you don’t see someone for three weeks, that’s not a disaster.”

Charon: “It helps me that we are both the same types in the base. We both have a lot of energy, find friends and family important and are not afraid of hard work. We just understand each other.”

Bring extra money

Charon: “My child’s dream was to become a doctor, but I was drawn to medicine. As a replacement I started to do HBO Nursing. For a year, I thought, to work on my resume. But then I went to rooms and at a student association. Yes, that was party. I noticed that I could dance on the tables three, four times a week, take an exam on Friday and also get that too! So I never did medicine again, but after four years I noticed that I was not happy with a full -time life as a nurse. I missed a challenge and searched for something next to it. That became flying for KLM. As a child I was allowed to help a stewardess in a Boeing 747, which then still had such an upper deck. That has always remained with me. Sitting in the office from 9 to 5 is not for me anyway. “

Daniël: “I have that exactly. After I had completed Mavo, HAVO and Commercial Economics, I mainly wanted to get started. I started with a business lender, but that was too slow for me. I am more an active type.”

Charon: “And you are from the Side Hussles. “

Daniël: “Those are chores in the evenings or the weekend to get some extra money; I always did that. Sailing a boat on King’s Day, a car to Marbella, picking up something in the east of the country. If you have earned a hundred or two hundred euros in the hours that you would normally sit on the couch. That is just a good job now. In Amsterdam, I am actually driving a canal from a canal house via Ken from Amsterdam and I have been driving a cans in the other day, and it is the best choice

Love for food

Charon: “With all the collective labor agreements for flight staff you are quite free as a stewardess. For example, I have just returned from Shanghai. Then I am four days away and then I have eight days off. Eight days! And then I work full-time. Because I quickly cost myself money and free time, I have registered for the flex pool of the Long. I am now on the Long Date, usually on the week as a week. I am wildly enthusiastic about asthma or COPD, but it’s just a very nice team there. ”

Daniël: “I am proud that Char is such a hard worker and combines everything. I think I would be bothered by a partner who would be on the couch for eight days.”

Charon: “We both live in different houses with housemates. If possible, we sleep together. Always with me. Daniël lives in a real men’s house: one toilet has no toilet seats, Daan showered with his slippers. And I think it’s nice to sleep in my own bed after flying.”

Daniël: “All apologies why you never come to me.”

Charon: “I think I get there … once every three months or so?”

Daniël: “About yes.”

Charon: “Our love for food binds us. We are both, as my father calls it, real feast bears.”

Daniël: “We were once on vacation with the whole family. Before lunch my father-in-law ate a cracker, while we whole BLT sandwiches [bacon, lettuce, tomato] were building, with all the trimmings. “

Charon: “Then my father says: Ah, the fiddles are eating again, you know.”

Daniël: “Char makes meals at home to take to the hospital and I get a portion of it, for lunch.”

Charon: “Then you get tacots, with all goodies separate. Or the week one homemade Caesar Salad. ”

Daniël: “It’s always over the top, in trays and all bags. Then the boys In the office: Noeeee, did she make food again for you? I love it. I really like that. ”

Charon: “I am half Indian and show my love through food. It will be.”
