New San Siro, Inter and Milan two and a half hours with room

Inter and Milan met the mayor of Milan for two and a half hours, Beppe Sala, to talk about the project for the new San Siro. The clubs and the municipality are working to arrive at a shared figure for the sale of San Siro and neighboring areas. Paolo Scaroni, president of Milan, made it clear that he is satisfied: “We work, is it a work in progress. Optimism? I am always optimistic”.

The 197 million evaluation

In the meeting, the Ansa writes, it was reasoned to get to a shared figure. These are calculations in which different variables must be considered, such as that of demolitions and any reclamation. The base is the one provided by the Revenue Agency which evaluated the stadium and the areas 197 million. On this assessment, the current negotiations are based to arrive at a final figure for the sale.

Milan and Inter in recent weeks have to entrust the project to Norman Foster and sleeve, international excellence that have won an international competition among some of the most important studies in the world. A choice that demonstrates the will of the clubs to invest heavily, at the highest level, on the stadium. The goal of Inter and Milan is to present the project to the Municipality by the first half of 2026. In the coming months, therefore, there will be meetings to get to a preliminary project and then to a definitive version. In February, however, the city will host the opening of the winter Olympic games in the “old” San Siro.
