The Cultuurfonds in our country invests more than 40 million euros in culture and nature every year. That money goes to more than 5,000 projects and people throughout the Netherlands, in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom and in Suriname.
The financial contributions come from the VriendenLoterij, the Dutch Lottery, from donors, in legacies and money from partners. Associations, foundations, cultural institutions, nature organizations and individual artists can request a contribution for their project. The Cultuurfonds also invests in culture and nature on its own initiative and gives prizes and scholarships.
The Cultuurfonds Drenthe is one of the twelve provincial departments of the Cultuurfonds.
