A video in which Gladbach professional Florian Neuhaus, manager Roland Virkus criticized, caused a sensation. Now the association announces the punishment.
Borussia Mönchengladbach punishes players Florian Neuhaus for the video that he had clearly criticized, in which he clearly criticized managers Roland Virkus. As the club also announced on Wednesday, Neuhaus must not train with the professional team for four weeks, but will join the U23 team. The club did not name the amount of the fine.
“The behavior and statements of Florian Neuhaus are harmful to the club and unacceptable, he has damaged the club with his words and deeply disappointed, that is not compatible with the values of the association,” said Borussia’s managing director Stefan Stegemann, according to the club announcement.
The 28 -year -old football professional cannot be seen in the short clip when a voice with mocking statements about sports director Roland Virkus can be heard. It is not certain whether the voice can be assigned to Neuhaus. Shortly afterwards, a man comes into the picture who looks like the former international and apparently talks about a million content. The incident is said to have taken place on the Balearic Island of Mallorca. Among other things, Virkus was described in the clip as the “worst manager in the world”.
The team of coach Gerardo Seoane is expected on Friday for the first performance test in preparation for the new Bundesliga season in the Borussia Park. Neuhaus has a contract in Mönchengladbach until June 30, 2027. He has not yet commented on the incident.
