Defense player Sebastiaan Bornauw leaves the Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg with immediate effect towards the English Premier League. In the future, the 26-year-old Belgian will be under contract with promoted Leeds United, as the Lower Saxony announced.
Bornauw meets Lukas Nmecha at his new club, which is trained by ex-Gladbach coach Daniel Farke. In the previous season, both carried the VfL jersey. Both clubs did not provide any information about the transfer modalities.
Bornauw moved from 1. FC Köln to the Wolfsburgers in the summer of 2021 and has since played 96 competitive games. Last season he was in the starting eleven nine times.
