Premier League promoted AFC Sunderland reacts to Jobe Bellingham’s departure to BVB with the club-internal record transfer from Habib Diarra. The 21 -year -old midfielder comes from RC Strasbourg Alsace and, according to matching media reports, costs 31.5 million plus 4 million euros in success -related bonus payments. Diarra leaves his training club after 102 games in which he was directly involved in 21 goals. He signed a contract until 2030.
This increases the expenses of the promoted to 54.5 million euros – previously Enzo Le Fée was committed to the AS Roma after six months of loan. In advertising around Diarra, the Black Cats and Leeds United stood out, which failed with an offer of over 28 million euros.
Other candidates on Sunderland’s shopping list are, according to the “Guardian” wing striker Armand Laurienté by US Sassuolo and Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka. The duo has a market value of 35 million euros – if both come, the squad value would still be less than 200 million euros and thus clearly below that of FC Everton. At 350 million euros, the Toffees have the lowest squad value in the richest league in the world away from the relegated from Ipswich (€ 222 million), Leicester (€ 238 million) and Southampton (€ 266 million).
The Black Cats return to the Premier League after eight years of abstinence, including four years. The Diarra Transfer is a first exclamation mark on the transfer market.
