Hesburger stops selling a children’s meal.

The Hamburg chain states in its announcement that the sale of a children’s meal will be discontinued in all countries in the spring of 2026.

According to Hesburger, the decision is “chain responsibility work, changed consumer expectations and new marketing recommendations”.

– Children’s meal and its accessories have been part of Hesburger’s history for over 30 years, but now, after a long consideration, it is time to update the activity in the spirit of the time.

– We hope that consumers understand the goal behind the change: more responsible choices for families, says Hesburger’s International Communications and Marketing Director Ieva Salmela.

According to the new marketing recommendations, attractive food advertising on children should be restricted.

– We want to anticipate change. The closure of the children’s meal and its accessories is part of the whole where we improve the responsibility of our products, says Salmela.

Stocks to blank

According to Hesburger, the company conducted the Six Children’s Material campaigns each year. About three million products have been purchased in six million products each year.
