The beach volleyball players Louisa Lippmann and Linda Bock missed their first gold medal together on the international pro tour.
The newly formed duo lost 1: 2 (21:19, 14:21, 11:15) to the Ukrainians Maryna Hladun and Tetjana Lasarenko on Sunday in the final of the Challenge tournament in Poland, but still celebrated the greatest success.
The silver medal is the first common precious metal for Lippmann and Bock at a challenge event, the second highest tournament category on the tour. The best result was a ninth place in the Chinese Xiamen.
The former Hallen national player Lippmann had played the Olympic Games in Paris alongside beach volleyball star Laura Ludwig in 2024. At the end of last year, the 30-year-old announced her collaboration with Bock, who, like Lippmann, changed from the hall to the sand.
The duo Paul Henning/Lui Wüst meanwhile secured bronze. The Olympic champion David Ahman and Jonathan Hellvig from Sweden did not compete in the game for third place. Previously, the German team in the semi -finals had failed with 0: 2 (16:21, 16:21) in the semi -finals. The Poles had already taken care of Nils Ehlers and Clemens Wickler from the Olympic second in the quarter-finals.
