Manuel Venderbos misses thousands of euros because of his suspected suspension at Shownieuws, says TV critic Victor Vlam. “The Tino Martin-riot costs him so far 2,250 euros,” it sounds.
Where today’s stars can be freely calling of everything, even about what is happening behind the scenes, that is a very sensitive point for most other programs. Rob Goossens was cut from RTL Boulevard after criticizing Linda de Mol and Manuel Venderbos disappeared after his unveiling about Tino Martin quietly at Shownieuws.
For three weeks
Manuel has revealed that Tino was sent away in the advertising break of Shownieuws – he came over very drunk – and that the editors no longer want to invite him. “Yes, that was also in the evaluation, yes. If I were his management, I might not have to do this: live talk shows we may not have to do,” said the SBS 6 face.
Since those statements, Manuel has not been seen as a presenter of the show section. And after three weeks of absence, we can now conclude that he has been put on non-active-he is not allowed to say anything about it. “Normally he sits there a suit and bit once a week as a presenter, so that was striking,” says TV connoisseur Victor Vlam.
Louder
Victor says in the podcast The Communicado’s That he has ever worked with Manuel and that he immediately sent him an app. “He told me almost immediately:” No, nothing wrong. This grid was already stuck for this whole riot. ” He was busy with projects X, Y and Z, which is why he doesn’t have the time for Shownieuws. “
“Well, that of course turns out to have been a complete lie. I think that is unwise. You shouldn’t do things like that. You are a presenter of a journalistic program, that’s what Shownieuws wants to be. If you get a journalistic question and you just start lying, yes, you just show that you are not worthy of the program.”
Panic reaction
Victor thinks that Manuel’s initial denial was a “panic reaction.” “Of course it is really in Manuel’s interest not to have too much publicity about this, because yes, it is of course also really image damage when it comes out that he has been put on non-active, because he has been folded out of the school. So it is really very disadvantageous for him.”
If Manuel had been fired, it would have been announced, Victor thinks. “To be honest, I think that the most likely scenario is that he is simply suspended. That he is just no longer used for a certain period. And that is quite a hefty punishment.”
2,250 euros
That suspension costs Manuel, Victor explains. “Every week he was about once. I believe that they now pay 750 euros at Shownieuws for people, so that means that if he has not been there for three weeks, it has cost him 2,250 euros. That is a hefty punishment. That is pretty big.”
Victor thinks Manuel did say the truth about Tino, but that he should not have said how the singer was talked about in the editorial meeting. “That is probably going too far. You can make that Inside today, but it is difficult for a program like Shownieuws, because then you just won’t get any guests anymore.”
