A major fire broke out in an office building on Havenweg in Oosterhout around half past two on Saturday night. Four people were still inside when that happened. One of them was injured. Around half past three the fire was under control again.

Shortly after the outbreak of the fire, the fire brigade scaled to ‘GRIP1’. This means that different types of emergency services work structurally to combat the fire. The flames broke from the side of the building, which is on an industrial estate. According to the safety region, the building is of a transport company.

When the fire brigade was putting out, someone from the first floor fell down. The person was injured and was taken to the hospital with an ambulance. The fire brigade then removed three people from the building. They remained unharmed.

An hour after the outbreak of the fire, the fire was under control. The emergency services are still leaving. The safety region reports that the smoke is crossing the adjacent residential area. “Do you suffer from the smoke? Examples windows and doors and switch mechanical ventilation,” is therefore the advice.
