The ex-success coach does not resent the outcry, but at BVB you won’t see him in the stadium so quickly.
The criticism of his entry into Red Bull’s football cosmos, which many supporters see as a danger to the traditional clubs, “he does not take any evil at all,” said Jürgen Klopp in an interview with the “Welt am Sonntag”, from which the “Bild” quotes in advance.
He was “not deliberately stepped on his feet to the people, but decided to do so from free steps”. Especially since he had been active for FC Liverpool in England for nine years. On the island, large investors are also the order of the day, but football became “even more emotional than before”, Klopp explains his step.
Klopp sees that he is now working for a large corporation. It is part of it that this only invests in sport to increase his own sales.

“Tell me a sponsor – gladly in Germany – who only takes a lot of money for ancientian reasons and because he finds the sport so horny. Nobody. Everyone wants the added value for their company,” Klopp clearly clarifies.
He simply no longer targeted a return to the coaching bench: “I didn’t want to be a head coach anymore, I wanted to pass on experience in exactly this function that I now have.” He loved his job, but I don’t miss anything, said the 58-year-old.
In the stages of his former clubs Borussia Dortmund or FSV Mainz 05, however, Klopp will not see as quickly as he emphasized.
“Until now, nobody has said to me: ‘Hey, you sold yourself nicely.’ But it is also clear that I don’t necessarily want to go to the stadium in Mainz or Dortmund, “explains Klopp and specified:” But not because I don’t want to go there, but because I don’t want to put people into a situation in which one might think: “What does the bum here? ‘ And the other replies: ‘that’s the Kloppo.’ “
By the way: Klopp also confirms that he could have taken over the office of German national coach in 2023, but did not do so because he was in a sporty situation with Liverpool and did not want to let the club and players down.
