Clark Olofsson: From charismatic rebel to criminal behind Stockholm syndrome

Clark Olofsson, who died on Tuesday at the age of 78, was perhaps the most famous criminal in Sweden. But he did not thank his fame for a murder or robbery. In August 1973 he suddenly became the center of a hostage drama in Stockholm that lasted 131 hours and became known worldwide as the birth of Stockholm syndrome.
