A house on the Straakvense Bosdijk in Helmond was closed immediately on Thursday, after illegal prostitution was established again. It is the second time in a short time that this happened. In the house the authorities met two women who offered sexual acts against payment.

In April of this year there was illegal prostitution in the house for the first time. After that it remained silent for some time, but last month reports were received again from nuisance and signals of prostitution in the house. These reports ended up with the municipality, police and social organizations, among others.

The authorities found two sex workers in the house. They came from South America and Asia. The women are illegal in the Netherlands and so it is assumed that there is human trafficking. The women have been transferred to the aliens police.

Resident was already gone
The housing association immediately closed the house. The resident who was officially registered there turned out to be no longer living there for a long time.

The control in the house was done by the so -called Peelland Intervention Team (PIT). That is a team of different organizations, such as the municipality, police and other services.

They work together to check places where possible something goes wrong, such as illegal prostitution, human trafficking, drugs or fraud.
