Two German football giants have risen to the Bundesliga, but a few more are still second -class. Two of them meet right away for the start.

FC Schalke 04 starts the new season of the 2nd Bundesliga with a home game against Hertha BSC. The DFL announced this a few hours before the game plan was completely published. The game will kick off on August 1 at 8:30 p.m. and broadcast live at Sky and Free TV at Sat.1.

Already on Thursday the DFL announced that the Bundesliga with the game between the FC Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig is opened. Further encounters of the first few weeks in the upper house have already been determined: Eintracht Frankfurt will start at Werder Bremen, on the third matchday FC Bayern receives promoted Hamburger SV.
