Germany’s U21 national team is in the final of the European Championship in Slovakia. The team of national coach Antonio di Salvo beat France 3-0 (2-0) thanks to the earlier goals. In the final, the DFB team will meet England on Saturday (June 28, 9 p.m.), which defeated the Netherlands 2-1.
Germany has to prepare for the Liverpool Harvey Elliott, who scored both goals against the Netherlands. In the group phase, Germany beat England 2-1. In Germany in the game against the French: keeper Noah Atubolu.
Nelson Weiper and Nick Woltemade, with his sixth tournament goal, brought the German selection at the heart and reaction quickly in front (8th and 14th minute). The DFB team left further top-class opportunities and was able to thank Atubolu, who recorded the German victory with two outstanding parades. With his 21st mission in the U21 national team, the SC Freiburg player became the record goalkeeper of the DFB. Brajan Gruda set the end in added time (90.+4). Germany has been unbeaten for 20 games.
“Just horny, finale! That was our goal, now we have achieved it. We sent France away, now we also want to send the English away”said scorer Nelson Weiper at Sat.1.
Former DFB jubilee
The German team focused on the first exclamation mark at an early stage. Starting from Rocco Reitz and forwarded by Nick Woltemade, Paul Nebel took measured on the left in the penalty area and pushed the deflected ball onto the crossbar. Nelson Weip switched the fastest and used the rebound artist volley to 1-0.
France seemed to be insecure. Because only a little later, SOUNGOUTOU MAGASSA made a mistake in front of his own penalty area when accepting the ball, which Weiper took useful, Nick Woltemade took his pass perfectly. His chipball defended France’s goalkeeper Guillaume Rest Reaction, but Woltemade remained awake in the situation and sank the rebound in the goal.
Rosenfelder injury makes itself felt
At that time, national coach Antonio di Salvo had already had to change: The central defender Max Rosenfelder, who had been held with strong performance in the previous tournament, had been injured in a failure without an opposing influence and was replaced by Tim Oermann.
The lack of Rosenfelder subsequently became noticeable: France digested the shock of the double deficit strongly and urged the connection goal. Ex-Bayern player Mathys Tel appeared several times before Noah Atubolu, but left the majority of his chances-the rest of the Freiburg keeper.
Atubolu with glossy
In the second section of the game, just 17 seconds were played when Atubolu showed his whole class: Powerful “Bleuets” brought the ball to substitute Thierno Barry, who appeared freely in front of Atubolu in five meters. The goalkeeper parried the massive right -hand shot with an outstanding foot defense and then also secured the free ball.
Germany did not allow Germany overall. Magassa (47th) parried a trial of Paul Nebel, a remarkable shelf with the hoe from Woltemade Weiper shot just above the French goal (59.). And another shot from the Mainz did not find its way into the goal.
The biggest chance of the second round on a goal then had to thwart atubolu again: Barry tried to put a soulful flank from the right half field onto the second post with his head from three meters in the German goal. But the goalkeeper in the DFB team reacted again with a reflex and brought his right hand to the ball.
Gruda with the outside
The good news 20 minutes before the end of the regular season: The German U21 team did not move to manage the lead, but continued to play vigorously on the third goal. After taking Brajan Gruda and Henning Röhl, Woltemade put a header after a precise flank with the outside of Gruda just left next to the French boxes, an overpayment situation did not consistently ended Gruda, Nebel & Co.
In the final minute, Germany was also lucky: the right post prevented the French in the French after a header from Barry. A third hit by the Germans in added time against exposed French people was examined offside – and given. Paul Wanner had launched Gruda shortly after his substitution.
