The next decision has been made: Eintracht Braunschweig will go into the future with Sidi Sané. The aggressee’s contract was extended.
Eintracht Braunschweig is planning long -term with offensive player Sidi Sané. As the club announced on Wednesday afternoon, the 22-year-old’s contract was extended until 2027. The contract also includes an extension option, it is said.
Eintracht sports managing director Benjamin Kessel raves about the qualities of the brother of international Leroy Sané. “Sidi Sané has really good skills – offensive dribbling, gaming joke, a lot of dynamics and depth, but also a good end,” said Kessel.
After Sané failed for a year with a cruciate ligament rupture, he “fought his way back with a lot of diligence and ambition,” adds Kessel. “Now we are looking ahead positively – Sidi is completely recovered and top fit. We are very happy that he has decided on another way with us.”
Sané switched from the second team of FC Schalke 04 to Braunschweig for the 2023/24 season. So far, he has played eleven competitive games for Eintracht. Most recently, he gave his comeback after a long time of suffering in the relegation secondary against 1. FC Saarbrücken.
“In the past two years, I have received a lot of support from the club and the fans even in difficult times,” says Sané about his extension. “I am happy to be able to continue my way on Hamburger Strasse. Together with the boys, I want to attack on the pitch in the new season and celebrate success with Eintracht.”
