BVB has already invested a lot in the squad. Now it’s also about taking money. A storm talent should also help.
Youssoufa Moukoko is apparently about a transfer to FC Copenhagen. The BVB storm talent should not be awarded, but should be firmly committed. This is reported by the well-informed transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano on Wednesday. The deal is shortly before the conclusion that Moukoko had agreed to change. His contract in Dortmund would have been valid until 2026.
The 20 -year -old striker was awarded to the French first division club OGC Nice in the past season, but was hardly used in Ligue 1. He was only on the pitch in 199 minutes, scored two goals in eleven games and put on two more. Coach Franck Haise said in late autumn after several games that Moukoko was completely on the bench: “For a football player, these are difficult times. There are no gifts in sports at the highest level. This is how it is. You have to continue working, improve yourself, do not ignore the principles, and then, at some point, he will get his chance again.”
However, many opportunities should no longer be added, which is why Nice also decided against the purchase option. In addition, Moukoko was not nominated for the European Championship in Slovakia by U21 national coach Antonio di Salvo. Nick Woltemade, Nelson Weiper and Nicolò Tresoldi were preferred.
According to the “Bild”, DFB sports director Rudi Völler said about Moukoko as part of the tournament: “If he does not stay in Dortmund, he must of course go to an association where he gets more operational chances and can develop further.” This should now be the Danish Doubles winner Copenhagen. A great opportunity for Moukoko to get the necessary rhythm again and to give his career a new momentum.
