Top scorer in Breisgau

In the past season, Vincenzo Grifo was once again an absolute top performer at SC Freiburg and led the Breisgauer to the Europa League. Now the club has extended the contract early with the 32 -year -old left wing. The two sides agreed to silence the modalities, but Grifo will continue to climb up in the list of SCF record players in the coming season.
With 19 goal participations, Grifo became the top scorer of Breisgauer in the past season and was irreplaceable for Julian Schuster’s team. With the exception of seasons 2017/18 and 2018/19, where he ran for Gladbach or Hoffenheim, the German-Italian has been under contract in Breisgau since 2015. With 307 missions, he is in the top 5 of the record player and will pass Reinhard Binder with the next game. In the top goal scorers of the SCF, he still lacks twelve goals to pass nils Petersen, which is at 105.
“When I came here in 2015, none of this was foreseeable. Now it is my home, I left my heart in Freiburg, made 307 competitive games for the SC. I am very, very, very well. I would like to go on the way, to complete as many games, help the boys and also develop myself personally,” commented Grifo the contract extension.
Sports director Klemens Hartenbach was also pleased about the further cooperation: “At Vince, there is no end in sight. He is going on and next to the square, has become in top shape and this year has become even more extensive in his game. It is not only his statistics, which is important for the team, it also exudes security and sovereignty, which is contagious and helps his colleagues to continue.”
